REQUEST ALUMNI DIRECTORY
I am now providing the last compilation of DOJ Tax Division Alumni Directory Reports by a link for download from my Google Docs account. The last compilation is dated 2/2/25. Alumni will need the link to access and download the Directory. The link should be good for future corrections but I will note here the date of revisions. Each time I upload updated reports, I will email the link to those on the DOJ Tax Division Alumni Google Group email list. For those not on the list, please email the request for the link to jack@tjtaxlaw.com. The subject of the text should be "DOJ TAX ALUMNI DIRECTORY REQUEST" and the body of the requesting email should provide the following information:
- If you are a DOJ Tax Division Alumnus, state your name, the Tax Division Sections, and years of service in each Section; or
- If you are not a Tax Division Alumnus, state your reason for the information in as much detail as appropriate for me to determine that the request is legitimate. Without this statement of reason, I will not supply the files.
The link is to a zip file which contains the following pdf files:
- DOJ Tax Alumni by State and City.pdf (State and City in Alphabetical Order with Alumni in each City)
- DOJ Tax Alumni Contact-Alphabetical.pdf (Alumni contact information (in Alumni alphabetical order))
- DOJ Tax Alumni by Section.pdf (Tax Division Sections in Alphabetical Order with the Alumni serving in the Sections.)
- DOJ Tax Alumni with Sections.pdf (Alphabetical by alumni with the Sections in which they served.)
Zip files are common nowadays and, I presume, most will know how to use them. If not, a good description of zip files and how to use them is here. Zip files are commonly used to compress and contain multiple files in a single zip file. The zip file for download will be about 2.2 MB in size.
Upon an alumnus emailing me at the address above, I will send the link to the zip file. Simply download the zip file for access on your local computer.
Those Alumni who download the zip file may share the zip file (or the underlying pdf files) or the link for download with other Tax Division Alumni.
PUT YOUR NAME AND INFO IN DATABASE OR CORRECT INFORMATION
Please download the pdf form (fillable) here. Please do not try to fill out the form while online. The fillable feature only works when you download the form. After downloading the form, fill out the form (the form should be fillable on the computer), save the form with the information you input, and return the form to me at jack@tjtaxlaw.com. Please fill out as much information as you desire and make any comments you feel helpful.
- Only office/work information (address, etc.) will be provided in the published reports.
- Home address information will not be published unless the person specifically authorizes the publication of home information. Some alumni prefer home address to be published. For example, retired alumni may prefer other alumni to see their home address. Keep in mind that the directories will be provided only to alumni upon request. The way I publish home address information when requested, is to input the home address as work address. But, again, I do that only if authorized, so it is important that you state whether you authorize it on the form. If that portion of the form is note filled, I will assume that you do not want your home address published.
UPDATING DATABASE
I only update the underlying database as I receive information. Unfortunately for the past, say 30 years, DOJ Tax attorneys leaving the Tax Division generally do not advise me of their contact information after leaving DOJ Tax. And, persons listed often do not advise me of changes in their information. So, the database and resulting reports are incomplete and, as to some information, inaccurate. I make changes to the underlying database very soon as I receive the information (either new entries or changes to old entries). When I generate new pdfs after receiving new information, I will notify alumni through the Google Groups email service. If you want to be included in the Google Groups email service. Information on that service and joining the service is here.
