Prior to entering academia, Pietruszkiewicz served as a trial attorney in the Tax Division of the United States Department of Justice from 1997 to 2001, receiving the Outstanding Attorney Award in 2000.Prior to this appointment, Pietruszkiewicz served as dean and professor of law at Stetson University College of Law for six years.
